A Word from PJ
“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
Proverbs 14:30 NIV
Most people when asked would say they are not envious of anyone in their life. However, if you sit back and just listen to someone talk for a minute you will find they are in fact envious of someone. When we are envious or jealous it destroys us. Envy decays our mind, soul, and body. Envy will cause you to focus on something that’s not yours and that is not meant for you. Envy brings discontentment, anger, slander, gossip, and more destructive behavior to our life. It will also cause your physical and mental health to suffer. Being at peace with how and who God made you to be will bring peace and joy unlike anything else. Living in a constant state of gratitude to God for who you are and what you have as well as what you don’t have, will change your life.
Give God praise today for who He has made you and how He has blessed you. Ask Him today to rid your heart, mind and soul of envy.
