A Word from PJ

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

Friendship is one of God’s most precious gifts to us. A true friend walks with us through life’s joys and trials, offering support, encouragement, and love. Proverbs 17:17 reminds us that a real friend loves at all times, and in moments of adversity, they become like family.

Godly friendship is a reflection of the relationship Christ desires to have with us faithful, sacrificial, and constant. Jesus himself said in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” He demonstrated this through His ultimate sacrifice on the cross, showing us the depth of His friendship.

Just as Christ loves us, we are called to love our friends through their ups and downs, successes and failures. A true friend doesn’t give up when things get hard. Instead, they stay close, offering prayer, compassion, and the kind of love that reflects God’s heart.

Today, take a moment to thank God for the friends He has placed in your life. Pray for opportunities to be a Christ-like friend to others, showing the same unconditional love and support that Jesus shows us.

Lord, thank You for the gift of friendship. Help me to be a faithful and loving friend, reflecting Your love in all my relationships. Give me wisdom and grace to support those around me, just as You support me. Amen.

Your Friend,

PJ
