“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

Ezekiel 36:26 NIV

One of the most beautiful things that God does for us as believers is He changes our heart. He takes the old cynical, hateful, selfish, and hard heart and gives us one of Godly love. Simply put, God changes our character. As believers the Holy Spirit gives us a heart of compassion and of love. The way we look at things and people change. We start to value people that we never valued before. We start to have empathy for people that don’t even deserve it. God takes that selfishness that we used to have beating with inside of us and gives us a new heartbeat, a new rhythm and it changes the life song of others that it comes into contact with.  

Yes the old heart will try to take over at times, but don’t let it. We are a living breathing testimony of the love of God. Let your heart beat in sync with His.
