A Word from PJ

“Abstain from all appearance of evil.”

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Staying away from the appearance of sin is something we all struggle with from time to time. What usually happens is that we think as long as we aren’t doing something wrong then it must be ok. The truth is, God doesn’t even want us doing something that could give someone else the idea that we are committing a sin. When we put ourselves in a position that could possibly give an appearance of us doing something we shouldn’t, then we shouldn’t be in that position. We are called to live above reproach. Let’s live in such a way that we don’t give the enemy a chance to catch us slipping.

Love you,

PJ

When I was newly sober & rededicated to the Lord, I took this drive to an old job to make amends with my former boss. It was a beautiful moment of seeking forgiveness and being forgiven. I left on a cloud. While in that area, there was a bar that I frequented in the past and I thought “I’ll go in there and make amends too” - but the Lord had not told me to do so. I went anyways. I sat at a table on the patio, that I’d sat at several times before, but this deep gut feeling of anxiety was covering me the entire time. I ordered food and a water. As I sat there, I kept…
