As a Man Thinks


“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” — Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)


Our thoughts shape our reality. What we dwell on in our minds determines how we live, respond, and even perceive ourselves and others. If we fill our minds with negativity, worry, or self-doubt, we will live out those fears. But if we meditate on God’s truth, we align our thoughts with His Word and His promises.


Philippians 4:8 tells us to think on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. When we do this, we allow God’s peace to guard our hearts and minds. As a man thinks, so is he—so let’s choose to think on things that reflect God’s goodness, strength, and love.


Lord, help me to guard my thoughts today. Fill my mind with Your truth and remind me of Your promises. May my thoughts reflect who You are, so my actions and words follow. Amen.
