A Word from PJ

Avoiding Favoritism

“My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.” — James 2:1 (NIV)

Favoritism can subtly creep into our relationships and decisions. Whether it’s giving special treatment to those who can benefit us or showing more kindness to people we find easier to like, favoritism disrupts the love and unity God calls us to live out.

James reminds us that as believers, we must not show favoritism. God loves each of us equally, without partiality, and we are called to do the same. When we treat everyone with the same love and respect, we reflect the unconditional love of Christ. In doing so, we can create an environment where everyone feels valued, accepted, and loved.

Lord, help me to see others through Your eyes, without favoritism or bias. Teach me to love and treat everyone equally, as You have loved me. May my actions reflect Your grace and draw others closer to You. Amen.

Love you,

PJ
