Be a good example. I have been around sports for years and have seen my share of parents acting out and setting a poor example from the stands. As bad as that is, the one thing that is worse are coaches that have foul mouths and cuss around the kids without giving it a second thought. Don’t get me wrong I believe you should coach hard and sometimes you need to be tough. The one thing we don’t have to do is use foul and nasty words to get your point across. We are to be good examples to others, especially when you are in a role of leadership. Maybe it’s time for the bosses of these foul mouth coaches to choose the hearts and minds of their students rather than winning. 

This goes for us all. We are to be examples of the love of Christ. We can and must be better examples to our children. May we set that example by doing what is good in the eyes of our Lord.
