“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

Galatians 5:13 ESV

Christ has set us free by His working on the cross. That freedom came with the highest price that could ever be paid. Jesus gave His life that we might be free. That freedom is something that a lot of Christians take for granted. Some Christians do whatever they want and think they are ok with God because they prayed some kind of magic prayer. Let’s set the record straight here and now! When you are born again through the brutal death of Jesus, you are to get your life in line with His will. That is true Freedom. Freedom from sin and death. Freedom to LOVE ALL, regardless of how different or difficult they might be. 

Freedom in Jesus is not to give us a free pass to sin. It’s to set us free from that garbage to a glorious life in Christ.
