A Word from PJ
“The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.”
John 1:7-8
John the Baptist was truly a powerful witness for the Lord Jesus. John came from a line of priests, but ministered as a prophet. This is the beautiful part, John reached the Jewish society by removing himself from it. He was a powerful witness for the Lord. Being removed from the distractions of the world he lived and preached a powerful message of repentance.
We can learn a lot from John. We too need to be removed from the distractions of this world so we can focus better on our Lord. As Christians, we are to be like John and call those we encounter to faith in Jesus.
