A Word from PJ
Bearing Fruit in Every Season
Scripture:
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” – Psalm 1:1-3
Reflection:
A tree planted by streams of water is a picture of stability and fruitfulness. It remains nourished, drawing from the life giving water that sustains it through every season. Similarly, when we root ourselves in God’s Word, we are equipped to thrive no matter what challenges come our way.
Psalm 1 describes the blessed life as one that delights in the law of the Lord. This means prioritizing time in Scripture and allowing God’s truth to shape our thoughts, actions, and decisions. The result is a life that bears fruit for His glory fruit that blesses others and reflects His character.
In every season, whether joyful or challenging, God invites us to remain rooted in Him. As we do, He strengthens us, sustains us, and causes us to prosper in His purposes.
Challenge:
Reflect on your daily habits. Are you making time to meditate on God’s Word? Commit to spending time in Scripture each day this week and consider how it nourishes your spirit.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being my source of strength and nourishment. Help me to delight in Your Word and to stay rooted in Your truth. May my life bear fruit for Your glory, no matter the season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you,
PJ
