“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.”

Our society is full of carbon copies. People are trying to keep up with the Jones’. They have to dress like others, talk like others, walk like others and drive the same car as others. It’s kind of mind boggling if you think about it. It even affects the church. Pastors are envious of other Pastors. So they try to imitate them. Churches see another church that’s growing numerically and they try to do whatever it is that the growing church is doing. Imitating others that are successful is very appealing to say the least. As Christians, we know the one we should be imitating. We should be imitating the Lord. Loving, serving, caring, forgiving others and being thankful for all the wonderful things He does for us. Let’s stop imitating people that we envy and start imitating the Lord Jesus.
