Faith Over Fear

Scripture:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

Reflection:

Fear can be paralyzing, robbing us of the joy and confidence God desires for us. Yet, as believers, we are reminded that fear is not from God. Instead, He has given us His power, love, and wisdom to overcome fear and step into the plans He has for us.

Peter experienced this firsthand when he walked on water toward Jesus. As long as his eyes were fixed on Christ, he overcame his fear and defied the impossible. But the moment he focused on the storm, fear overwhelmed him, and he began to sink. This story reminds us to keep our eyes on Jesus, trusting in His power rather than being consumed by our circumstances.

Living by faith means trusting that God is greater than any fear or obstacle we face. His Spirit equips us to walk boldly, knowing that He is with us every step of the way.

Challenge:

Identify an area in your life where fear has taken hold. Pray for God’s strength and take one step of faith, trusting Him to guide you.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving me a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Help me to trust in You and to overcome my fears by keeping my eyes on Jesus. Strengthen my faith and remind me of Your constant presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love you,

PJ
