A Word from PJ

“to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:22‬ ‭ESV‬‬

When you are born again, it changes everything! We were once chained to a way of living that brought dishonor and heartache to the Lord Jesus. We lived in such a way that we only sought to bring happiness and pleasure to ourselves no matter who it hurt, usually those we loved and almost always ourselves. We were living a life that would ultimately lead to destruction and hell. Then Jesus stepped out of Glory to come to a thankless world to pay the penalty for sin He never committed. When we ask Jesus to forgive our sin through what He did on the cross, it changes everything. Not only is our home now in Heaven, now we are called to put on the new man. We are called to clothe ourselves with the righteousness of Christ. We should strive to be Holy as He is Holy. We put off the old man and live a new way of life because we love Jesus and are thankful for what He did for us on Calvary.

Love you all,

PJ

Jesus did not leave us alone in this process, but sent Holy Spirit and I am so grateful. Unfortunately, sometimes we just want to get out of Hell free card, to live for ourselves and say that we are saved. Here in lies the confusion I believe. Good word Pastor Jeff love you
