A Word from PJ

“Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”

Romans 12:11 ESV

One thing most every church has to beg for is, workers. In the years past you could express a need for someone to help in church and you would have half a dozen people volunteer immediately. Not these days! Today church leaders have to beg people to serve. Heck, we have to beg people to even show up at church. So why is this happening? The main reason is people are not on fire for God anymore. The verse we just read tells us to “be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord”. We should be putting our fire for Jesus on display by how we serve. We have gotten flippant with our walk with Jesus. We make excuses when it comes to serving God. We make meaningless statements like, “God knows my heart”. We are called to be passionate for Jesus! Let’s live our faith loud by serving our Lord.

Love you all,

PJ
