A Word from PJ

“Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.”

Proverbs 13:3 NIV

As children of God we have a filter for our mouth. That filter is the Holy Spirit of God. God gives us the ability to filter our words before we speak. When something happens and we want to speak quickly and harshly, God gives us the ability to filter out what should not be there. For instance, a quick response to something that we’re passionate about should especially be passed through the filter of the Holy Spirit. Always be mindful to be slow to speak. God never wants us to speak something that is harsh, degrading, hateful, or any other thing that could hurt someone. Always be mindful that the words that you say to someone could very easily push them to the point of no return. The person we speak harshly to or about is one of God’s creations that He loves.

If we keep our words to ourselves and speak only what is filtered by the Holy Spirt our lives will be blessed beyond measure.

Love you all,

PJ

So true but sometimes hard to do. Sometimes we speak first and pray about it later. We get it backwards, but God’s grace will teach us to do better thank you, Lord.
