A Word from PJ

“They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.”

Psalms 64:3 NIV

This is a great verse where the Psalmist gives us a powerful example of how the wicked use their words. Think about it this way, our youngest son loves to hunt with his bow. His bow is powerful and the arrow tips are like razors. With those tips, those arrows can be deadly. Suppose he just walks in a crowded room and just starts shooting his compound bow with those razor tip arrows as he spins around with his eyes closed. What do you think would happen? The answer is, when all was said and done there would be many people wounded and hurt badly. My friends this is exactly what happens when we speak out of anger or just speak without regard of how our words hurt others. If we are honest we all have many wounded people all around us because of our words. Let’s do better. Let Holy Spirit filter our thoughts before they turn into words. Our life and the lives of others will be greatly blessed for it.
