A Word from PJ

Finding Rest in Christ

Scripture:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Reflection:

The burdens of life can feel overwhelming, but Jesus offers us rest. His invitation in Matthew 11:28 is not to momentary relief but to a deeper, soul-sustaining rest that refreshes us from within.

Jesus carried the weight of the cross so that we wouldn’t have to carry our burdens alone. When we lay our worries, fears, and struggles at His feet, we exchange them for His peace and strength. True rest comes not from escaping our problems but from drawing closer to Him.

If you find yourself weary today, remember that Christ’s arms are open. His rest is a gift freely given to all who seek Him.

Challenge:

Make time today to step away from distractions and sit in God’s presence. Let His Word refresh your spirit.

Prayer:

Jesus, I bring my burdens to You. Thank You for offering rest to my weary heart. Teach me to trust You more deeply and find renewal in Your presence. Amen.

Love you,

PJ
