A Word from PJ 

““If you want to give it all you’ve got,” Jesus replied, “go sell your possessions; give everything to the poor. All your wealth will then be in heaven. Then come follow me.” That was the last thing the young man expected to hear. And so, crestfallen, he walked away. He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and he couldn’t bear to let go.”

Matthew 19:21-22 MSG

This story rings true in the world we live. We live in a world of convenience. We want what we want and we want it now. Just take a look around and you will see convenience everywhere. Five minute car wash, fast food, quick oil change, grocery delivery, Walmart pick up, drive through pharmacy and many other things. If you want to see someone have a meltdown, let their WiFi be down where they can’t instantly watch Netflix, get their Social Media fix, or whatever else they do online. It’s like that when it comes to Jesus. People want to have Jesus only when it’s convenient for them. They don’t want to sacrifice anything for Jesus. They only want sacrifice to be one way. They want it to cost Jesus (and it did, HIS LIFE) and not them. It’s time to call people back to repentance and holiness and that isn’t convenient at all.
