A Word from PJ

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I love the picture in Matthew 6 of how we are supposed to pray. We all know true honesty comes out when we are alone with God. When we are alone with God praying there is no chance of being fake and praying to be heard by others. We know it’s only God and us and we know God knows who we really are. God wants us to just be honest with Him when we pray. He doesn’t like the fluff that comes when we preform our prayers in front of others. Most of the time those big public prayers aren’t prayers at all, they end up being sermons directed at a person or a group. I do believe there is a place for public prayer, but when we do pray, God wants it to be pure and honest.

Praying for you,

PJ

Amen. So very true. It’s heart to heart and spirit to spirit. Jesus taught us well. But there are also many many prayers in the Bible From beginning to end. Have a blessed day Pastor Jeff
