God Restores What Is Real

Scripture: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (KJV)

When you are genuine with God, you never have to fear being rejected. His Word promises that He is near to the brokenhearted. He doesn’t stand over you in judgment when you’re at your lowest; He kneels beside you in compassion. God specializes in restoring the hearts that are willing to be real with Him.

Real restoration doesn’t come through image management or hiding pain. It comes when we’re willing to confess, “Lord, I’m tired. I’m hurting. I need You.” That simple, heartfelt honesty opens the floodgates of God’s mercy. He draws near when you drop the act and cry out for His touch.

There’s no healing for the mask you wear — only for the heart underneath. The sooner we take off the masks and bring our true selves before God, the sooner we will find the healing our souls crave. Genuine restoration always follows genuine surrender.

Reflection:

What is one area you’ve been holding back from God? Trust Him with it today — He’s not angry; He’s ready to restore.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted. Today I come to You just as I am, trusting that You are enough. Heal the real me. Restore what life has broken. I surrender my heart to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love you,

PJ
