A Word from PJ

God’s Sovereignty

Scripture:

“The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.” – Psalm 103:19

Reflection:

God’s sovereignty means that He is in control of all things. Psalm 103:19 reminds us that His throne is established in heaven, and His rule extends over everything. This truth brings peace and assurance, especially when life feels uncertain or chaotic.

Throughout Scripture, we see evidence of God’s sovereignty. He orchestrated Joseph’s journey from slavery to leadership in Egypt to save His people during a famine. He used Esther’s position as queen to protect the Israelites from destruction. Even when circumstances seemed bleak, God’s plans prevailed, demonstrating His power and faithfulness.

Trusting in God’s sovereignty doesn’t mean we’ll always understand His ways, but it does mean we can rest in the knowledge that He is working all things for our good and His glory. His authority is absolute, and nothing happens without His permission or purpose.

Challenge:

Reflect on an area of your life where you’re struggling to trust God’s control. Write a prayer surrendering this area to Him and thanking Him for His sovereignty.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being in control of all things. Help me to trust in Your sovereignty, even when I don’t understand what You are doing. Teach me to rest in the assurance that You are working all things for good and for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love You,

PJ
