Trusting in God’s Timing
Scripture:
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11
Reflection:
Waiting can be one of life’s most challenging experiences, yet Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us that God’s timing is perfect. Often, we desire immediate answers and quick resolutions, but God sees the bigger picture. His plans for us are carefully woven into His divine timeline, orchestrated for our ultimate good and His glory.
Think about Abraham and Sarah, who waited decades for their promised son, Isaac. Their waiting was not in vain, as God fulfilled His promise at the perfect moment. Similarly, Joseph endured years of hardship, betrayal, and imprisonment before becoming a ruler in Egypt and saving his family.
These stories remind us that God’s delays are not His denials. Instead, they are seasons of preparation, where our faith grows, our character is refined, and we are drawn closer to Him. While waiting is difficult, it becomes bearable when we shift our focus from the “when” to the “who”—trusting the One who holds our future.
Challenge:
Take some time today to reflect on an area of your life where you are waiting for God to move. Write it down, and then list ways He has been faithful to you in the past. Let these reminders strengthen your trust in His perfect timing.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for reminding me that Your timing is always perfect. Even when I struggle to understand the delays, help me to trust in Your plans and wait with faith and patience. Strengthen my heart as I rely on Your promises, knowing You are always working for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you,
PJ
