3 John 1:4


On this day in 1997 I became a dad for the very first time. It was a day that freaked me out and made me happier than I had ever felt. As I held my baby girl in my arms for the first time I told her the story of Jesus and what He did for her. Now I know she didn’t understand anything I was saying that day, but as a dad I wanted her to know the way, the truth and the life right from the start. 

What brings a good mom or dad great joy is knowing that their children know and walk in truth. That truth is Jesus. 

The day I was able to baptize my first born daughter after her confession in Jesus was one of the greatest days ever! Knowing that she had the truth living in her brought me incredible joy. 

Seek truth and walk in truth for yourself and your kids will soon follow in your steps.

Yes the greatest joy will be knowing all our family and loved ones are saved and part of the family of God.
