Guarding Your Heart

Scripture:

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23

Reflection:

The condition of our hearts influences every aspect of our lives. Proverbs 4:23 calls us to intentionally guard our hearts because our thoughts, words, and actions stem from within.

Just as a gardener protects plants from weeds and pests, we must protect our hearts from negative influences, bitterness, and sin. This requires immersing ourselves in God’s Word and staying connected to His Spirit.

When we guard our hearts with diligence, we cultivate a life that reflects His love and grace. His peace flows from within, shaping how we respond to life’s challenges.

Challenge:

Take inventory of the influences in your life. Remove anything that hinders your spiritual growth, and replace it with God’s truth.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to guard my heart with wisdom and diligence. Let everything that flows from my life be pleasing to You. Shape my heart to reflect Yours. Amen

Love you,

PJ
