A Word from PJ

“casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As somebody that deals with depression and mental health issues, I love this verse of scripture. It teaches us that we are to cast our cares upon God because He cares for us. Many of us get to the point in life where we feel like no one cares. Now, the reality is we probably are surrounded by people that do care for us and that do love us. However, that’s not how people that deal with depression and other issues think. For those of you that deal with these issues, I want you to know that God does love you and He does care for you. Regardless if you feel the people around you care or not, you need to know that the One that created you understands you, He sees you, and He cares for you.

Love you,

PJ

Beautiful word And your transparency about depression, anxiety etc. probably comforts all of us. Some people suffer seasonal depression Because of the cold weather and cloudy skies. For some people the holidays are difficult, thinking about Lost loved ones and PTSD suffers also need lots of love and care. Where would we all be without Jesus. He truly is the light of the world! May we all be filled with his peace and joy today and always. We may be a small group at1st Church but we are filled with more love than any other place I’ve been. A Holy Ghost hospital, a safe place, a joyful place for all. Thank you Pastor for all you say and do.You and…
