A Word from PJ

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.””

Matthew 18:20 NIV

For years I have believed you have to be in church for this to be true, but that isn’t the meaning of this verse. Yes, God will be with you when you gather together in a church building. He also will be with you no matter the setting when you are meeting in His name. Some of the most God filled times I’ve had with people has been outside the four walls of a church building. Now let me be clear, I believe it’s very important to gather with like-minded people and worship whether that is in person in a church building or online with church family. God gives us strength, encouragement, healing, hope, peace and much more when we gather in His name no matter where that may be. 

I think it’s time we make our “two or more” settings to be everywhere. Let’s gather in His name at work, home, school, ball field, gym or anywhere the body of Christ is. Let’s welcome God in that place and watch Him do something mighty.
