A Note from PJ

“A quick-tempered person does foolish things, and the one who devises evil schemes is hated.”

Proverbs 14:17

Roar!!! I’m Mad!!! Have you ever lost your temper over something that’s just absolutely silly? I remember one time in my youth watching someone (I won’t say who) trying to start a push mower. This person pulled the start cable over and over and over and over and over and well you see what I’m getting at. The mower would not start no matter what he did. He began screaming at the mower (as if the mower had feelings) and if that wasn’t enough, he stormed off and came back with a hammer. He started beating that mower over and over again.

Seem a bit exaggerated? Well it’s 100% truth. I would love to tell you that I was afraid, but I was laughing hysterically at this person (and I still do to this day when I think about it).

When we get to the point of lashing out in uncontrolled anger at the drop of a hat, then Houston we have a problem. I have lived this and put people I love through it as well. It’s a terrible place to be in life.

God wants us to live in peace and comfort. We can’t do that when we are always angry. God brings us peace but it’s up to us to receive it and walk in it. The question is will you walk in that peace, patience and love the way He wants you to? You can have all God offers you if you just surrender to His will and actually walk in it.

Walk in His patience,

PJ
