A Word from PJ

““ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.””

I heard an inspiring story of a lady who was in her 90’s that went back to high school and earned her High School Diploma. She loved going to school but just had a little difficulty learning. She was told that she was too dumb for school and should just give up. So at 13 she declared “I Can’t” and stopped going to school and went to work. The two words “I Can’t” became her mantra in life. If something was too hard she would just say I can’t, and walk away. Those two words plagued her for decades. One day when she was in her 90’s she heard a man preach a sermon and it changed her perspective on everything. She heard that God would give you the desires of your heart and would give you the strength to persevere in anything. She did as the preacher said and asked the Lord to help her achieve the greatest desire of her life. She asked the Lord to help her finish the one thing she regretted quitting the most, school. With a new mantra, “I can do all things” that lady went back to school and earned her High School Diploma. When she was asked what she wanted others to learn from her determination she said, “Never use the words ‘I can’t’”. 

God wants you to know, no matter how difficult the situation He will see you through. Don’t say “I quit” say “With God’s help I can”!
