A Word from PJ

“I have heard Israel saying, ‘You disciplined me severely, like a calf that needs training for the yoke. Turn me again to you and restore me, for you alone are the Lord my God.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This is absolutely a beautiful description of the love of God. Now, I know you may be asking how can discipline be beautiful? It’s beautiful because the Bible teaches us that God disciplines those that are His children. When my mom or dad would discipline me as a child, it was because first of all I deserved it, secondly they wanted to correct my course of action and thirdly they loved me. That’s the same with God. He loves us so much that when we fail He wants to correct our course so we don’t make those same choices again. That’s how mighty the love of God is. Thank you God for your mercy, grace, and justice.

Love you,

PJ

And I am so thankful for the restoration after the discipline. So precious how he likes to calm the pain that we endure during fiery trials, he uses to correct and mature us.

Amen! Thankful for correction, although sometime it is painful.
