A Word from PJ
Loving Your Neighbor
Scripture:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” – Mark 12:31
Reflection:
Jesus emphasized the importance of loving our neighbors as one of the greatest commandments. This love is not limited to those who are easy to love; it extends to everyone, including strangers, enemies, and those in need.
Loving your neighbor means seeing others through God’s eyes and treating them with the same compassion and kindness that He shows us. It involves listening, serving, and extending grace, even when it’s inconvenient or undeserved.
The Good Samaritan is a powerful example of what it means to love your neighbor. He went out of his way to help a stranger in need, demonstrating that love is an action, not just a feeling. When we love others, we reflect the heart of Christ and draw them closer to Him.
Challenge:
Think of a specific way you can show love to someone this week—whether it’s through an act of kindness, a word of encouragement, or simply being present for them.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me unconditionally. Teach me to love others as You have loved me. Help me to see people through Your eyes and to be a reflection of Your grace and kindness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you,
PJ
