A Word from PJ
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.”
Romans 12:9 NIV
Fake people are just the worst! There, I said it. People that act like they love others to their face and then lie and gossip behind their back isn’t true love. The verse we just read states that our love MUST be sincere. The verse is referring to putting your calling into action. The previous verses talk about gifts that show our love for others. Verse 9 tells us those gifts must be carried out in sincere love. He also tells us to hate what is evil, not people. It is possible to hate the evil that people do and love them. We are to help cover their evil in love. That doesn’t mean hide it or sweep it under the carpet. It means show them where they are wrong in sincere love (not judgement) and how God can forgive them.
Let’s be a Lighthouse of hope for those caught in a snare of sin.
