Overcoming Fear with Faith

Scripture:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

Reflection:

Fear can often paralyze us, but God has equipped us with His power, love, and a sound mind to overcome it. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that fear is not from God, and through His Spirit, we can face challenges with courage and faith.

Throughout Scripture, we see God encouraging His people to trust Him in the face of fear. From Joshua leading the Israelites into the Promised Land to Peter stepping out of the boat to walk on water, their faith allowed them to overcome fear and experience God’s power.

When we fix our eyes on Jesus and trust in His promises, fear loses its grip on us. Faith empowers us to step forward, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.

Challenge:

Identify a fear that is holding you back. Spend time in prayer, asking God to replace your fear with faith and to give you the courage to trust Him fully.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your Spirit that gives me power, love, and a sound mind. Help me to overcome fear and to walk in faith, trusting in Your presence and promises. Teach me to rely on You in every situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love you,

PJ
