A Word from PJ

Overcoming Temptation

Scripture:

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13

Reflection:

Temptation is a reality we all face, but God promises that we are never alone in the battle. He provides us with the strength to resist and a way out when we feel overwhelmed. This is a testament to His faithfulness and care for us.

Even Jesus faced temptation in the wilderness, yet He overcame by relying on Scripture and trusting in His Father’s plan. His example teaches us that we, too, can overcome temptation by standing firm in God’s Word and leaning on His strength.

It’s important to recognize the areas where we are most vulnerable and to guard our hearts and minds. By staying rooted in prayer, surrounding ourselves with godly influences, and immersing ourselves in Scripture, we equip ourselves to stand against the enemy’s schemes.

Challenge:

Identify a specific temptation you are struggling with. Find a Bible verse that addresses this area and memorize it. Use it as a weapon against the enemy when temptation arises.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness in providing a way out of every temptation. Help me to rely on Your strength and to stand firm in Your Word. Teach me to walk in victory and to resist the enemy’s schemes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love you,

PJ
