Patience in the Process
Scripture:
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” – Psalm 37:7
Reflection:
Patience is one of the most challenging virtues to practice, especially in a world that values instant results. Yet, the Bible repeatedly calls us to wait on the Lord and trust His timing. Psalm 37:7 reminds us to be still and not let anxiety or comparison steal our peace while we wait.
Waiting on God is not passive; it is an active expression of trust. It’s in these seasons of waiting that He often does His greatest work in us teaching us to rely on Him, refining our character, and preparing us for what’s ahead. Just as a seed takes time to grow into a fruitful plant, God’s plans for us unfold in His perfect timing.
Abraham waited decades for the fulfillment of God’s promise, and Joseph endured years of hardship before stepping into his destiny. Their stories remind us that God is faithful to fulfill His promises, and His timing is always worth the wait.
Challenge:
Reflect on an area in your life where you feel impatient or anxious. Write down a prayer committing this situation to God and ask Him to give you peace and patience as you wait on His timing.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for reminding me that Your timing is perfect. Help me to trust in You and to wait patiently, knowing that You are working for my good. Teach me to be still before You and to find peace in Your presence during the process. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you,
PJ
