A Word from PJ

“Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling.”

Proverbs 20:3 NLT

One thing the old me used to absolutely love was fighting. I would never walk away from any fight or argument. I thrived off of it. I lived for a good fight no matter the opponent. The fight I’m talking about was with other people. I didn’t wait for the fight to come to me. I was looking for any opportunity to fight with anyone about anything. I was allowing the enemy this foothold in my life even as a Pastor, BUT NO MORE! I’m not proud of the man I was whatsoever, in fact I’m downright ashamed of it. According to God’s Word we are to live a life of peace with all people if possible. With all that being said, we are not to allow people to walk all over us. We are to stand firm in the faith and not waiver. We are to be a beacon of hope to an evil and hostile world.

Let me be very clear with you. When you live a life for God you will face major persecution. It WILL happen!  When it does, try your very best with God’s help to remain at peace and avoid the fight. When avoiding the fight is not possible, let God be your vindicator with TRUTH!

Get-’em God Get-‘em,

PJ
