A Word from PJ

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:31-32 (NIV)

Resentment can quietly take root in our hearts, often unnoticed until it starts influencing our thoughts, actions, and relationships. It’s easy to justify holding onto hurt when someone has wronged us. But Scripture calls us to a higher standard of forgiveness and grace. When we hold onto resentment, it becomes a barrier between us and the peace God desires for us.

Jesus teaches us the power of forgiveness. He forgave us when we were undeserving, and He calls us to forgive others in the same way. Letting go of resentment is not about excusing the wrongs done to us but about freeing ourselves from the burden it brings. When we forgive, we reflect the heart of Christ and open ourselves to experience His healing and peace.

Take a moment today to reflect on any lingering resentment in your heart. Bring it to God in prayer, asking Him to help you forgive as He forgave you. Release the burden, and allow His love and grace to fill your heart.

Love you,

PJ
