A Word from Pastor Jeff

“Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.” Matthew‬ ‭28:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Saw one thing, said another! In these verses we see that some of the guards that were guarding the tomb of Jesus went and told the chief priest the news. The chief priest along with the elders decided to give the guards hush money and gave them a new lie to spread. They saw one thing, and said another.

Let’s be real folks. We are guilty of doing this as well. We might be born again, but at times we change our stories. Meaning we know we should love, but we hate. We know we should share the gospel, but we don’t. We know we should serve, but we are lazy. We know we should pray, but we get too busy. As believers we have been called to live in a way that brings glory to God. When we do anything contrary to His Word, we sin. It’s time we stop taking the enemy’s hush money and start living the life of a TRUE BELIEVER!

Love you all,

PJ

I believe the Lord is calling us to repentance and Holy Ghost revival. We even hold back the spiritual gifts God has given us for fear of man. We truly need to experience the same boldness early Christians demonstrated. We need God’s help! Have mercy, Lord.
