A Word from PJ

Seeking Validation from God, Not Man

“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” — Galatians 1:10 (ESV)

We live in a world that constantly tells us we need validation from others to feel important or loved. Whether it’s through social media, workplace recognition, or personal relationships, it’s easy to seek approval from people. But the Bible reminds us that the validation we truly need comes from God, not from man.

In Galatians 1:10, Paul makes it clear that pleasing people should not be our primary goal. If we are in Christ, our worth and identity are secure in Him. His approval is enough because He knows us fully and loves us unconditionally. When we focus on pleasing God, we find the freedom to live authentically without worrying about the opinions of others.

Today, if you find yourself seeking validation, remember that God’s love for you is constant. His opinion is the only one that truly matters. Let His affirmation be enough for you.

In what areas of your life are you seeking approval from others instead of God?

Lord, help me to remember that my value comes from You alone. Give me the strength to live for Your approval and not the approval of others. Amen.

Love you,

PJ
