A Word from PJ
People who are self-centered aren’t able to please God." – Romans 8:8 (CEB)
Self-centeredness is often the root of many of our struggles. When we focus solely on ourselves—our desires, comfort, and needs—we lose sight of what truly pleases God. The Apostle Paul, in this passage, reminds us that a life governed by the flesh, or self-centeredness, is at odds with God’s will. Such a life is driven by our own priorities rather than His.
To live in a way that pleases God, we must shift our focus from ourselves to Him. It’s about surrendering our will and letting the Holy Spirit guide us in every aspect of our lives. When we align our hearts with God’s, we learn to love others, serve with humility, and live for His glory rather than our own.
Take time today to examine your heart. Are you driven by self-centered motives, or are you seeking to please God in all that you do? When we choose the latter, we find true peace and joy in His presence.
Love you,
PJ
