A Word from PJ


“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

Proverbs 22:6


This is a promise that many people of faith cling to when dealing with wayward children. Now I do not want to crush your hopes but, we need to really take a look at this verse. First off what is “the way they should go”? I believe this verse is saying for us to teach our children to seek God’s wisdom, God’s path, God’s will and to commune with God daily. I don’t not believe this verse is just saying take your kids to church, mention God periodically and all will be good. There is more to “the way” than just lip service. We also need to model “the way” for them in how we live our lives. Our children depend on us to be the Godly examples which God has called us to be when He trusted us with our most precious gifts.
