A Word from PJ

“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We too like the people of Phillpi grow tired and weary of opposition that comes in our lives. If we take a moment to look at the relationship between Paul and this colony of retired Roman soldiers, we will see something beautiful. The people of Phillpi became great friends and supporters of Paul until the end of his life. When they heard that Paul was in a Roman prison they sent one of their own with money and encouragement to Paul there in Prison. Paul was moved by their true friendship and love. As Paul was in prison he wrote back to his true friends and encouraged them in their trials. Paul used his own life as an example of how to stay strong during hardships.

May we all be true friends like the Philippians and Paul. No matter the hardships in our lives, may we always stay loyal and be an encouragement to our friends.

Your friend,

PJ

I have been more than blessed to experience this type of kindness and love from family and friends through seasons of struggle. I’m thankful daily and encouraged by the number of people who have lived out their faith like the Philippians in this letter.

Keep it coming brother

Beautiful word. My prayer for 2024 for our two churches is the word unity. The Lord is coming back for a bride without spot or blemish. Sometimes we have to keep our opinions to ourselves and learn to listen for God’s wisdom. I pray that we will have such peace and unity and love that the world will know that we are Christians and they will want what we have in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
