Strength in the Lord

Scripture:

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.” – Psalm 28:7

Reflection:

Life often presents challenges that leave us feeling weak and overwhelmed. In those moments, it’s comforting to know that we don’t have to rely on our own strength. Psalm 28:7 reminds us that the Lord is our strength and shield, providing both the power to persevere and the protection we need from harm.

David, who penned this psalm, faced countless trials enemies, betrayals, and even personal failures. Yet, he continually turned to God as his source of strength. He trusted in God’s ability to sustain and defend him, and this trust brought him peace and joy even in the midst of adversity.

When we place our trust in God, we acknowledge that our strength is not enough, but His is more than sufficient. His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and His help is always available to those who call on Him.

Challenge:

Identify an area in your life where you feel weak or overwhelmed. Take time today to pray specifically for God’s strength and guidance. Reflect on how He has helped you in the past and trust Him to do so again.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being my strength and shield. When I feel weak, remind me to trust in Your power and to rely on Your help. Teach me to lean on You in every situation and to praise You for the strength You provide. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love you,

PJ
