A Word from PJ
Strength in Weakness
Scripture:
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Reflection:
We often try to hide our weaknesses, believing they make us less effective or less worthy. Yet Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 12:9 remind us that our weaknesses are opportunities for God’s power to be displayed. His grace is sufficient to sustain us, and His strength is made perfect when we surrender our struggles to Him.
Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” was a constant reminder of his need for God. Rather than removing it, God used it to deepen Paul’s dependence on Him. Similarly, our struggles can become a platform for God’s glory when we invite Him into our weakness.
When we stop striving in our own strength and rely on God, we experience His power in ways we never thought possible. Our inadequacies become a testimony of His sufficiency, and His grace becomes the source of our strength.
Challenge:
Reflect on an area where you feel weak or inadequate. Instead of trying to overcome it on your own, invite God to work through it. Write a prayer of surrender, acknowledging your dependence on Him.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the promise that Your grace is sufficient for me. Help me to embrace my weaknesses as opportunities for Your strength to be displayed. Teach me to rely on You and to trust in Your power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you,
PJ
