Take it Away!

A Word from PJ

“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

2 Corinthians 12:8-9

Take it away! Have you ever made that statement? Lord knows I have on many occasions. In fact some of the times I prayed for God to take something away, He didn’t. Talk about being slapped in the face with disappointment. When God says “I won’t take this away, but my grace is sufficient to get you trough it”, is a tough pill to swallow. We all want to breeze through life and have bad things and people removed from our lives. The fact is God will allow some of these things or people to keep you humble, focused and reliant on God. So when you feel like the thorn will never be removed from your side, just remember God’s grace is sufficient.
