A Word from PJ

The Armor of God

Scripture:

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” – Ephesians 6:11

Reflection:

As followers of Christ, we are in a daily spiritual battle against forces we cannot see. But God has not left us defenseless. He provides us with His armor, equipping us to stand firm against the enemy’s schemes.

The armor of God includes truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Each piece is vital to protect us from the lies, temptations, and attacks of the enemy. For example, the belt of truth grounds us in God’s Word, while the shield of faith extinguishes the fiery darts of doubt and fear.

Putting on this armor is not a one-time act; it is a daily commitment to walk in God’s strength and rely on His provision. When we are fully armed, we can face every challenge with confidence, knowing the victory belongs to the Lord.

Challenge:

Read Ephesians 6:10-18 and reflect on each piece of the armor. Spend time in prayer, asking God to help you intentionally “put on” each piece as you start your day.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for providing me with Your armor to stand firm against the enemy. Help me to rely on Your strength and to walk in truth, righteousness, faith, and peace. Equip me to face every challenge with confidence in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love you,

PJ
