A Word from PJ
The Light of the World
Scripture:
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14
Reflection:
As followers of Christ, we are called to be His light in a dark and broken world. Jesus declared that we are the light of the world, tasked with reflecting His love, truth, and hope to those around us. Our lives should serve as a beacon that points others to Him.
Light has the power to dispel darkness and bring clarity. Similarly, when we live out our faith, we bring God’s light into situations that are filled with confusion, fear, or despair. This calling is not about perfection but about living authentically for Christ and allowing His light to shine through our words, actions, and attitudes.
Being the light of the world is both a privilege and a responsibility. It reminds us that our lives have a purpose far greater than ourselves—to glorify God and lead others to Him.
Challenge:
Identify one way you can be a light to someone in your life this week. It could be through an encouraging word, an act of kindness, or sharing your faith.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for calling me to be the light of the world. Help me to reflect Your love and truth in all that I do. Teach me to shine brightly for You, bringing hope and encouragement to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you,
PJ
