A Word from PJ

The Power of Obedience

Scripture:

“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” – Luke 11:28

Reflection:

Obedience to God’s Word is not about following a set of rules but about aligning our lives with His will. Luke 11:28 reminds us that there is blessing in hearing God’s Word and living it out. Obedience is an act of trust, demonstrating our faith in His wisdom and goodness.

Throughout Scripture, we see examples of those who obeyed God despite the challenges they faced. Noah built an ark before rain was a concept, Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son, and Peter stepped out of the boat to walk on water. Their obedience allowed them to experience God’s power and faithfulness in extraordinary ways.

Obedience often requires us to step out of our comfort zones, but the blessings that follow far outweigh the sacrifices. When we trust God enough to obey Him, we open the door to His peace, provision, and purpose for our lives.

Challenge:

Reflect on an area of your life where God is calling you to obedience. Take one practical step toward aligning that area with His Word.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the blessing that comes through obedience. Help me to trust You completely and to live according to Your Word. Give me the courage to follow where You lead, even when it’s difficult. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Love you,

PJ
