A Word from PJ

The Power of Praise

Scripture:

“I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.” – Psalm 34:1

Reflection:

Praise is a powerful expression of faith that shifts our focus from our problems to God’s greatness. Psalm 34:1 reminds us to praise the Lord at all times, not just when life is going well. When we choose to praise, we invite God’s presence into our circumstances and align our hearts with His will.

Praise is not about ignoring difficulties but about declaring that God is greater than any challenge we face. It’s a weapon against discouragement and a declaration of trust in His faithfulness. Paul and Silas praised God while imprisoned, and their worship led to a miraculous release and the salvation of others (Acts 16:25-34).

When we praise God, we acknowledge His goodness, sovereignty, and power. This act of worship strengthens our faith and brings us into deeper intimacy with Him.

Challenge:

Spend five minutes today praising God for who He is and what He has done in your life. Write down specific attributes of God that inspire your worship.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the power of praise that draws me closer to You. Help me to worship You at all times and to focus on Your greatness rather than my challenges. Teach me to live a life of gratitude and worship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love you,

PJ
