The Power of Prayer
Scripture:
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16
Reflection:
Prayer is not just a ritual or an obligation; it is a powerful connection with the Creator of the universe. Through prayer, we align our hearts with God’s will, intercede for others, and invite His power into our lives and situations.
Elijah’s prayer stopped the rain for three years and then brought it back. Daniel’s prayers sustained him through trials and even a night in the lions’ den. These examples remind us that prayer is not only heard by God but also moves Him to act according to His perfect plan.
God invites us to pray with faith, persistence, and expectation. When we approach Him in humility and trust, He responds in ways that exceed our understanding. Prayer changes situations, but more importantly, it changes us.
Challenge:
Set aside intentional time today to pray for specific needs—your own and those of others. Write down your prayers and look back on them later to see how God answers in His timing.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of prayer. Help me to approach You with faith and expectancy, knowing that my prayers are powerful and effective. Teach me to pray according to Your will and to trust in Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you,
PJ
