A Word from PJ

““If you love me, keep my commands.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:15

How can you tell who is a true Christian? The truth is, a true Christian loves God and obeys God.  It’s not about just praying a prayer of confession. The Bible says, “Many will say unto Me, ‘Lord, Lord, I did this; I did that; I did the other thing.’  I will say to them, ‘Depart from Me, I never knew you.’”

As Christians, we love the Lord and we obey Him.  Love is the motive and obedience is the action.

Love you,

PJ

Obedience to God, is very important. Rick talked about Caleb on Sunday. Then the next day I read an article about Caleb. The one thing Caleb was, he was obedient and he loved the Lord. His obedience got him the best piece of land in the promised land, even though it was filled with giants. He persevered even when things were tough but was always

obedient, that is definitely a lesson we could all learn. I know I needed it.

I think that was one of the scariest scriptures in the Bible. I think of so many people thinking they’re Christians intellectually, believing in Jesus, doing good deeds but do they really know him? And did they ever repent and follow him? Every time I think of this scripture it checks my spirit to be sure I am right with God and not just going through the motions
